Abstract
This article from TIME Magazine discusses the implications of Donald Trump's recent conviction on business-records charges. As the first ex-President to be convicted of crimes, Trump now has to navigate the reality of being a felon in the United States. Despite his conviction, Trump can still run for President, as a felony conviction does not disqualify him from continuing his campaign. Whether he can still vote depends on his incarceration status at the time of the November election, and the laws of the state where the conviction occurred. While Trump's passport will not be automatically seized, he may face travel restrictions to certain countries. The conviction could also impact his other criminal cases, potentially influencing jury perceptions, trial dynamics, and sentencing. Trump is currently facing charges in Florida, Washington, and Georgia related to various alleged offenses. [Extracted from the article]
