Abstract
Actiphy has unveiled an upgraded version of their centralized management console, ActiveVisor, which is designed to provide reliable data protection and secure backup and recovery. The new features of ActiveVisor include the ability to manage backup storage, improved authentication and enhanced security measures, an enhanced user-friendly GUI interface, and a list view of standby machines and hypervisors. ActiveVisor gathers data from remote client PCs and backup hosts to offer real-time monitoring of backup status and storage space availability. It also supports push-installation of backup agents on remote PCs. On the other hand, MacStadium has introduced Orka Desktop, a free macOS virtualization tool that allows developers to create and manage macOS virtual machines locally. Orka Desktop offers powerful tools for creating, packaging, and distributing VMs, achieving near-native performance on Apple Silicon, and supporting seamless workflow and collaboration. Existing Orka customers can use Orka Desktop as an extension of their current MacStadium Orka Cluster. MacStadium is a private cloud services provider that delivers scalable and secure enterprise cloud solutions exclusively for macOS. [Extracted from the article]
