Immediate Implant Placement and Loading Approaches: Analysis from a Bibliometric Perspective.

The article presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of immediate implant placement (IIP) and loading techniques in dentistry from 1980 to 2023, using data from the Web of Science Core Collection. It identifies publication and citation trends, key journals such as *The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants* and *Clinical Oral Implants Research*, leading authors including M. Esposito and U. Covani, and prominent countries like the USA and Italy. The study employs co-occurrence, co-citation, and multiple correspondence analyses to reveal major research themes—such as esthetic outcomes, biologic stability, bone and soft tissue management, and complication handling—and highlights evolving focuses from technical implant aspects to patient-centered outcomes like quality of life. The findings indicate that research on immediate implants and loading protocols is a dynamic and expanding field, offering valuable insights and directions for future investigations and clinical applications.
