Abstract

The article investigates the relationship between personal information management (PIM) behaviour and job performance of librarians in federal university libraries of North Central Nigeria. Using a correlational survey design, data were collected from 140 librarians via structured questionnaires measuring PIM activities (acquisition, organization, storage, retrieval, dissemination) and job performance. Findings revealed a moderate positive correlation between PIM behaviour and job performance, but this relationship was not statistically significant at the 5% level. The study recommends effective use of PIM strategies to potentially enhance librarians' job performance in academic libraries within Nigeria and beyond.
