Abstract
A literary criticism of the literary works "Parable of the Sower," by Octavia Butler and "The Color Purple," by Alice Walker is presented. It examines the creation of a God by both authors in these works, the plots and characters in these works, and the connection of the idea of God to nature depicted in the work of Walker.
