Abstract
The article presents definition of terms by author Emily Dickinson. It defines the noun breathe as whisper, inhale and exhale, gasp, and flutter. It defines the verb breathing as hyperventilation, respiration, inhalation of air, nervousness, anxiety, feeling of caution and sign of fear. It defines the adjective breathless as unearthly, not exhaling, holding in air and paralyzed from emotion.
