Abstract
The article discusses research from Cardiff University that examines the differing attitudes of Progressive and Traditional Liberal left-wing individuals towards in-group dissenters, particularly regarding gender identity issues. The study found that Progressive-generated representations of J.K. Rowling, a prominent gender-critical figure, were evaluated negatively, while those generated by Traditional Liberals were viewed positively. Additionally, left-wing in-group members expressing gender-critical views were judged more harshly than those identifying with the prevailing views. The research suggests an ideological asymmetry in how derogation occurs within left-wing groups. [Extracted from the article]
