Abstract
The article explores the transformation of Ukrainian self-perception during the Russian-Ukrainian war, highlighting the shift from a sense of inferiority to newfound confidence and national identity. Ukrainians have embraced their multicultural character and reclaimed their language as a symbol of resistance. The article also discusses the changing perception of Cossacks in Ukrainian society, the historical solidarity between Ukrainians and Jews, and the role of language and humor in asserting Ukrainian identity. It concludes by emphasizing the importance of Ukrainian troops' success for the liberation of Crimea and the defense of a multiethnic community in Ukraine. [Extracted from the article]
