Abstract
The article present literary criticism of Paul Griffiths's novel "let me tell you," written in the first person, using only the words assigned to Ophelia in William Shakespeare's novel "Hamlet." It explores the Oulipian formal conceit of the novel; how Griffiths's constraint mirrors Ophelia's struggle to find the right words to tell her story; and the intertextual nature of Griffiths's work, drawing connections to other literary and theatrical references within the novel.
