Abstract

This article reviews key developments in poetics scholarship from 2024, focusing on the intersections of art, poetry, translation, politics, ethics, and knowledge. It begins with the reissue of Julia Kristeva's *Revolution in Poetic Language*, highlighting its enduring influence on contemporary theory and poetics. The review then examines diverse topics including political critiques of poetry by Charles Bernstein and Anna Kornbluh, the affective and historical dimensions of rhyme in Victorian and troubadour poetry, and the challenges posed by artificial intelligence to creative writing. Further sections explore the role of friendship and collaboration in feminist avant-garde poetics, the poetics of translation as a thinking structure, and the dynamic relationship between poetry and visual art. Throughout, the scholarship emphasizes affinity and collaboration as vital to understanding poetics in the twenty-first century.
