Abstract
The article focuses on axolotls, a type of salamander known for their unique ability to regenerate lost body parts, including limbs and even parts of their brain. These creatures, which are about the size of a guinea pig, possess feathery gills that enable them to breathe underwater and can change their skin color for camouflage. Currently, axolotls are critically endangered, but recent efforts have seen 18 individuals reintroduced into the wild near Mexico City, where they are reportedly thriving, raising hopes for population recovery.
