Abstract

The article is a literary analysis of poet and author Edmund Spenser's Briton Moniments in poem "The Faerie Queene." Topics include discussing how the construction and rebuilding of cities, castles, walls, bridges, and gates are both literal and symbolic in the poem, mentioning Spenser's selection, omission, and invention of details to present construction as an enterprise, and focuses on construction being an essential part of the enterprise leaving a legacy for later generations.
