Abstract
The article focuses on how Latinx, Latin American, Caribbean, and feminist scholars, especially Audre Lorde, Gloria Anzaldúa, and Jean Franco, reshaped the foundations of cultural studies while being excluded from the 1983 University of Illinois in U.S., conference Marxism and the Interpretation of Culture. It explains how their ideas on intersectionality, identity, and border-thinking challenged dominant Marxist and feminist discourses and influenced global theory.
