Abstract
The article focuses on the limited research surrounding interracial couples and their significance as the antecedents of multiracial individuals. It reviews findings from various scholarly fields, including psychology and sociology, linking historical legacies to ongoing negative attitudes towards interracial relationships. The chapter highlights how contemporary policies and societal attitudes continue to adversely affect interracial couples, who have historically faced legal and social ostracization in the U.S., despite legal progress such as the Loving v. Virginia case. The preprint is noted to be unpeer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
