Abstract

This article centers on the Torchlighters episode about Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch watchmaker’s daughter who, during World War II, helped hide Jews and others targeted by the Nazi regime. Despite the risks, including arrest and imprisonment in a concentration camp, Corrie and her family obeyed their Christian faith by aiding those in need. The episode highlights Corrie’s struggle to forgive and love her enemies, a lesson reinforced by her sister Betsie’s encouragement before her death. Corrie’s story exemplifies courage, faith, and forgiveness amid persecution, impacting many lives during and after the war.
