Abstract
The article discusses two books: "The Book of All Books" by Calasso and "Cities and Thrones and Powers: Towards a Plotinian Politics" by Stephen R. L. Clark. The author explores the tension between Calasso's criticism of postmodernism and his use of postmodern literary techniques. The article also delves into Clark's interpretation of Plotinus' philosophy and its implications for political communities. Clark argues that our individuality is not discrete and autonomous, but rather interconnected with the wider world. The article concludes by suggesting the need for a new approach to language and a focus on cultivating virtue in political leadership. [Extracted from the article]
