Abstract
This article examines the influence of Generative AI (GenAI) on different industries and job functions. The authors conducted an extensive study, evaluating more than 160 million jobs to assess AI’s impact on businesses and the economy. Their findings suggest that AI could help close productivity gaps resulting from demographic shifts like aging populations and declining birth rates. The study also reveals that while AI will affect nearly every job, it is more likely to enhance rather than replace complex, high-value roles. Additionally, the article explores which industries and professions are most vulnerable to AI-driven changes and provides tools for measuring workforce exposure. Ultimately, the authors highlight the potential for human-AI collaboration to drive business growth and argue that, with the right strategies, organizations can successfully adapt to AI’s integration.
