Abstract
A recent study conducted at Southern University in Johor Baharu, Malaysia, delved into the social psychology and moral identity of character groups in Lao She's literary works through data-driven psychological analysis. The research, supported by the General Project of Humanities and Social Sciences Research of the Ministry of Education of China, utilized big data and artificial intelligence to explore how personality traits in literary characters reflect societal values and existential struggles. The findings revealed gender-based differences in personality traits, with characters displaying higher levels of agreeableness, openness, and neuroticism, while showing lower extroversion and moderate conscientiousness. The study concluded that literary narratives can serve as mirrors of human experience, offering insights into existential identity, moral agency, and collective consciousness within evolving socio-historical contexts.
