Abstract
"The Outsiders," a stage adaptation of S.E. Hinton's novel and Francis Ford Coppola's film, has gained popularity on Broadway, thanks in large part to choreographers Jeff and Rick Kuperman. The Kuperman brothers, who have previously worked together on various projects, made their Broadway debut with this show. Their choreography for a rumble scene between rival gangs has been particularly praised. The Kupermans discuss their approach to choreography, the movement vocabulary for the show, and the process of creating the impactful rumble scene. They emphasize the importance of technical skills and having a vision as aspiring choreographers. [Extracted from the article]
