Abstract

The 2024 New York Comic Con featured new comics publishers, characters, and reboots, despite the dominance of toy and anime companies on the show floor. Highlights included the announcement of a partnership between Prana: Direct Market Solutions and Manage Comics to provide industry data, as well as the return of DC's Vertigo Imprint led by editor Chris Conroy. The emergence of new publishers, such as Ignition Press and Atlas Comics, was seen as a positive development in the industry, with industry insiders attributing the trend to a generation of individuals ready to innovate and market forces post-pandemic.
