Abstract

The article focuses on the thematic exploration of collaboration, sequence, and visual poetics within a poetry issue titled "suite, sequence." It highlights Luke Beesley's poem "The Shoot" as an introductory fable setting the tone for the collection, which emphasizes shared creative efforts among poets such as Holly Isemonger, Ella Skilbeck-Porter, D. Perez-McVie, Gareth Morgan, Tom Blake, and Dominique Chen. The issue also features reflections on poetic forms and relationships by Rachel Schenberg, visual and dispersal poetics by Leah Muddle, Abbra Kotlarczyk, and Sholto Buck, as well as explorations of intimacy, gender, and queer identity by Angus McGrath, Fiona Hile, and Kate Lilley. Throughout, the collection intersperses a suite of eight collaborative written and visual poems by Blake and Chen, underscoring the interplay of text and image.
