Abstract
The U.S. Book Show is moving to Harlem this year to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance, a period that brought international literary acclaim to the neighborhood through the works of Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, and others. Despite the closure of many creative and educational institutions from that era, Harlem still boasts literary venues like Revolution Books and the Word-Up Community Bookshop. Organizations like the Zora Neale Hurston Trust and the Harlem Writers Guild are working to preserve the neighborhood's rich literary history while also creating new narratives for the future.
