Abstract
The article discusses the television adaptation of the popular video game series Fallout, which has become a hit on Prime Video. The show follows a protagonist named Lucy who ventures out into a post-apocalyptic wasteland to search for her kidnapped father. The adaptation diverges from the games by placing the blame for the nuclear apocalypse on a U.S. company called Vault-Tec, rather than on China as in the game canon. The article suggests that this change may reflect Americans' greater concern about domestic issues rather than external threats. It also highlights the show's critique of unregulated capitalism and the failures of the U.S. government. [Extracted from the article]
