Abstract
The article focuses on "The Tale of Job: A Seussian Tech Fable," a poetic reimagining of the biblical story of Job that blends Dr. Seuss's whimsical style with the dystopian themes of Harlan Ellison's "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream." The narrative follows Job, under the screen name "u/JobOnTheGrid42," as he confronts trials imposed by omnipotent digital forces in a futuristic, technology-dependent world called Neo-Eden. Through this fusion, the poem critiques contemporary reliance on technology, exploring themes of autonomy loss, digital culture, and the tension between technological innovation and preserving human resilience. The work parallels the 42 chapters of the original Book of Job, urging reflection on the balance between embracing technology and maintaining humanity.
