Abstract
Melissa Gilbert, who starred as Laura Ingalls on the TV show "Little House on the Prairie," reflects on the impact of the series, which premiered 50 years ago and ran from 1974 to 1983. Gilbert, now 60, still feels connected to the show and its fans. She runs a lifestyle brand called Modern Prairie and often watches reruns of the show, which she considers a part of her childhood and surrogate family. Gilbert continues to meet fans who express their emotional connection to the show and how it shaped their childhood. [Extracted from the article]
