Abstract
This article focuses on Mia P. Manansala, an award-winning Chicago-based writer known for her cozy mystery series, the Tita Rosie's Kitchen Mysteries, which blend themes of Filipino culture, food, and family. Her latest book, *Death and Dinuguan*, concludes the series with a story centered on crimes against women-owned businesses in the fictional town of Shady Palms.
