Abstract

This article focuses on the Apostle Paul's core theological message, emphasizing his teaching about righteousness as a right relationship with God. It explains that while Paul is often remembered for his administrative rulings on church practices and social order, these are secondary to his central Gospel message of grace through Jesus Christ. Paul challenged both Jewish legalism and the notion among some Jewish Christians that adherence to the Law plus Jesus was necessary for salvation, insisting instead on salvation by grace alone. Using vivid metaphors, Paul portrayed Jesus’ sacrifice as the means by which humanity is freed from sin and reconciled with God. The article highlights that Paul’s primary concern was to inspire believers with the assurance of God’s love, which in turn would foster genuine moral transformation.
