Abstract

The author argues that no work of literature is beyond adaptation into film. He talks about some films that have been adapted many times, the legendarily unfilmable novels, and the unfilmables yet to be tackled including "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace, "Gravity's Rainbow" by Thomas Pynchon, and "The Satanic Verses" by Salman Rushdie.
