Abstract

The article discusses research from Valdivia, Chile, focusing on the concept of "archetypal images" as proposed by Carl Jung and further developed by Erich Neumann, interpreted through Hans-Georg Gadamer's philosophy. The study argues that Gadamer's ideas enhance the understanding of archetypal images by linking them to aesthetic rationality, exploring the tension between universality and singularity, and framing the relationship with these images in a hermeneutic-dialogical context. The research, conducted by scholars from the University of San Sebastian, emphasizes the symbolic-historical nature of the unconscious as revealed through archetypal images. Financial support for the study was provided by CONICYT FONDECYT. [Extracted from the article]
