Abstract

The article focuses on pantoum or pantun, a Malayan oral poetic form perhaps as old as Malay language itself. Topics discussed include the two theories that exist about the meaning of the name pantun, poet Vince Gotera's found pantoum, Kundiman group pantoums, and Natalie Diaz's pantoum "My Brother at 3 A.M."
