Abstract

The author talks about the month of June and its significance to poetry. He mentions a quote from poet Gwendolyn Brooks about June, June as the month of poets because many of his favorites where born in June, and some poets whose work appears posthumously for the first time this month in the magazine including Anne Carson, Lucille Clifton, and Nikki Giovanni.
