Abstract
The article discusses two separate topics. The first topic is the history of censorship and indexation, particularly within the Roman Catholic Church. The author argues that while indexes served to protect against harmful publications, they also limited scholarly and public debate and discouraged individuals from speaking out against abuse. The second topic is a book review of "Pain and Paradox in 2 Corinthians: The Transformative Function of Strength in Weakness" by B.G. White. The book explores the theme of strength in weakness in the biblical letter of 2 Corinthians and argues that interpreters have overlooked the broader pastoral agenda of the letter. The reviewer finds the book to be a compelling study that offers a new approach to reading 2 Corinthians. [Extracted from the article]
