Abstract
The article focuses on the historical cultural dialogue between India and China as a counterpoint to Samuel P. Huntington's "Clash of Civilizations" thesis. It highlights over two millennia of intellectual, religious, and technological exchanges—such as the transmission of Buddhism, shared advancements in astronomy and literature, and trade in commodities like sugar—that fostered mutual enrichment rather than conflict. The article emphasizes the role of scholars and travelers in facilitating this intercivilizational dialogue and argues that such historical examples demonstrate the potential for cooperation and cultural diplomacy amid today's geopolitical tensions. It concludes that embracing dialogue and mutual learning is essential for building a more inclusive and stable global order.
