Abstract
This article explains how the fourth Captain America film, *Captain America: Brave New World*, reconnects with the 2008 Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film *The Incredible Hulk*. It highlights that *Brave New World* serves as a direct sequel by featuring Samuel Sterns, a character introduced in *The Incredible Hulk*, as its main antagonist, and includes a cameo by Liv Tyler reprising her role as Betty Ross. The article details the original *Incredible Hulk* plot and how the MCU had largely ignored the film due to rights issues and recasting of Bruce Banner, but recent MCU projects have revived its characters and storylines. It also notes that General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, now President of the United States in *Brave New World*, has a complex history with Sterns and Betty, which is explored in the new film.
