Abstract

The article, reviews the exhibition "Letterism and Hypergraphics: The Unknown Avant-Garde, 1945–1985," introducing Lettrism, a post–World War II French avant-garde movement. Topics include Lettrists' provocations, exploration of sound poetry and music, establishment of "discrepant cinema," and their impact on postwar French avant-garde legacies.
