Abstract
This article examines the experience of a widower who is grieving the loss of his wife, a well-known poet and teacher. The widower finds solace and understanding in literature as he navigates his grief. The article also highlights the disparity between the representation of widows and widowers in literature, with widows' experiences being more commonly explored. The widower finds comfort in poems and writings that express the pain of loss and mourning.
