Abstract
This article highlights five films that are generating buzz at this year's film festivals. "The Brutalist" is a period piece directed by Brady Corbet and stars Adrien Brody as a Jewish architect and Holocaust survivor. "I'm Still Here" is a drama based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's memoir, featuring Fernanda Montenegro and her daughter Fernanda Torres. "On Becoming a Guinea Fowl" is the second feature from Rungano Nyoni, exploring the societal roles of Zambian women. "Pedro Páramo" is a directorial debut by Rodrigo Prieto, adapting Juan Rulfo's novel. Lastly, Pedro Almodóvar's first English-language feature, "The Room Next Door," stars Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton. [Extracted from the article]
