Abstract
The article examines the unconscious versus conscious use of frequent words in the play "Titus Andronicus" by William Shakespeare. Topics include a note published showing that the final and first scenes of the play were both composed by George Peele, the similar relative frequencies of the word and used in Titus, and the selection of the word and by Macdonald Jackson as a criterion for determining authorship in "Titus Andronicus" which was later endorsed by Brian Vickers.
