Abstract

The article provides historical information about the Library of the Society of Friends (LSF). Topics discussed include the origin of the LSF in the historical persecution of Quakers, Margaret Fell's collection of correspondences with travelling Quaker preachers known as Swarthmoor Documents, archive of Anne Knight who was involved in the abolition of slavery and female suffrage, and role of Hilda Clark and Edith Pye in the creation of the War Victims Relief Committee.
