Abstract
Michael Volpe, the son of Italian immigrants, grew up in London with a love for both prog-rock and traditional Italian folk songs. This diverse musical upbringing shaped his sense of self and his place in the world. Volpe went on to found Opera Holland Park, a summer festival in London, and later started If Opera, a charitable organization supporting emerging artists. He believes in the power of music to break down social and cultural barriers and has created short films to promote cross-cultural engagement. Volpe's memoir, "Do I Bark Like a Dog?", explores his experiences and is set to be published on April 27. [Extracted from the article]
