Abstract
This article examines the role of technology and illusions in Miguel de Cervantes' novel Don Quixote. It explores how these devices create wonder and amazement for both the characters and the readers. The article also discusses the cultural fascination with technology during the early modern period and its association with magic. It highlights the didactic and moral functions of these devices in the novel and their impact on early modern culture.
