Abstract
The article in the New York Archives discusses the life and work of Virginia Kee, a community activist in New York City's Chinatown. Kee co-founded the Chinatown Planning Council (CPC) in 1965 to provide assistance to Chinese American students and immigrants in the community. The CPC offered various programs such as English language classes, day care centers, and employment assistance. Kee's dedication to helping her community led to the growth and success of the CPC, which continues to serve Asian Americans in New York City. [Extracted from the article]
