Abstract

A literary criticism of the poetry collection A Theory of Birds by Zaina Alsous is presented, focusing on the use of avian symbolism to explore Palestinian diasporic identity and representation. Topics include the influence of poets Edward Said and Mahmoud Darwish, the allegorical role of the dodo bird, and the critique of colonialist narratives within her work.
