Abstract
The Zeyrek Cinili Hamam in Istanbul is a historic Turkish bath that recently reopened after years of neglect. Built in the 1500s by Mimar Sinan, the Ottoman Empire's renowned architect, the hamam is located on top of a Byzantine-era cistern. A 13-year restoration project revealed fragments of the bath's original blue-and-white patterned tiles, which are now displayed in a nearby museum. The museum also showcases Byzantine stone carvings, pottery, and various items that provide insight into Ottoman hamam culture. [Extracted from the article]
