Abstract
This article examines the continued relevance of Ray Bradbury’s 1953 dystopian novel *Fahrenheit 451* in modern classrooms, highlighting its themes of censorship, technology’s impact on independent thought, and societal conformity. It discusses how educators connect the novel’s portrayal of a screen-dominated society and book burning to contemporary issues such as social media addiction, artificial intelligence, and the challenges of maintaining critical thinking. The article also offers practical teaching strategies, including debates, writing prompts, and creative activities, to engage students in reflecting on the novel’s cautionary message about passive consumption and the importance of intellectual freedom. Ultimately, *Fahrenheit 451* serves as a tool to encourage students to question their relationship with technology and the value of conscious awareness in daily life.
