Abstract
This article focuses on Snežana Minic’s 2024 poetry collection *Ledena Stena i druge price* [*Ledena Stena and Other Stories*], which comprises 39 autobiographical and travelogue poems reflecting on her childhood neighborhood in Niš, Serbia, and her experiences as a diasporic Serbian living in Germany. The volume, awarded the Milica Stojadinovic Srpkinja literary prize—named after one of the first Serbian women poets—explores themes of memory, longing for home, aging, and cultural identity through narrative and elegiac verse. Minic’s poems incorporate allusions to mythology, literature, and folklore, while capturing sensory details of her past and the complexities of translation and displacement. The collection serves as a poetic preservation of personal and cultural history for future generations. [Extracted from the article]
