Abstract
The article focuses on recent cultural and educational developments related to Sherlock Holmes. It highlights the restoration and repositioning of Gerald Ogilvie Laing’s life-sized Sherlock Holmes statue in Edinburgh’s Picardy Place, alongside plans for area improvements. It also discusses Thomas Fox’s "Adventures in Compliance" blog series, which draws leadership and ethical lessons from Holmes stories. Additionally, the article notes the well-documented influence of Sherlock Holmes on the creation of the comic book superhero Batman, including parallels in characters and themes.
