Abstract
In 2019, the first ever presentation in the Czech Republic of the work of American artist Arthur Jafa took place. The exhibition at the prestigious Galerie Rudolfinum, after which the artist won the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale, provided a space for the recontextualization of William Faulkner's fiction, which has been known to Czech readers since the 1930s, yet both reader interest in and scholarly attention to his work remain lukewarm. The paper explores the parallels between the shared techniques of the visual artist and the writer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
