Abstract
This text focuses on the translator's note accompanying the English translation of Sabahattin Ali's 1932 personal letter, "A Stroll Under the Moonlight." Sabahattin Ali (1907–1948) was a prominent Turkish writer known for addressing social issues in rural Anatolia through his novels and short stories. The letter, written to his close friend Ayşe Sıtkı İlhan, reveals personal insights into Ali's character, aspirations, and fears. The translator emphasizes fidelity to Ali's voice and meaning while striving for a seamless reading experience in English.
