Abstract
The article focuses on the life and significance of St Paul in the early Christian church. It highlights Paul's extensive presence in the New Testament through the book of Acts and his letters, emphasizing his crucial role in the rapid growth of Christianity from a small group in Palestine to tens of thousands in the Roman Empire. Paul is described as a Jewish Pharisee from Tarsus, well-versed in Jewish law and scriptures, yet cosmopolitan in outlook due to his upbringing in a diverse city. Despite chronic illness and frequent persecution, Paul demonstrated remarkable courage and perseverance in spreading the Christian message to Gentiles across the empire. His life exemplifies the integration of deep Jewish heritage, broad human sympathy, and heroic dedication to his mission.
